over a period of two years, during
which time coats amottatrd to more
than $1,000.
McLeod finally admitted defeat and

McLeod charged the purchaser with
theft of the horse, refusing to accept
the money.
Davidson, on being acquitted. sued

became the bride of Mr. Joseph Regia

mums. A large number. of friends of,
the coupe witnessed the ceremony, at
which Her. C. F. Nagel officiated.

with accompaniment ou tLe organ by
Miss May Grlmn.
The bride, wbo wee given to mar-

wedding gown Of white setts and lace
with long train. The clinging gown

wedding breakfast was served at lite

pink roses, flanked by burning pink
tapers In silver bolder*.
Mr. and Mrs. Carter left immediate-
ly atter tbe wedding breakfast on a
week -end mote • trip to the United
States, the brads wearing a travelling
dress of grey satin back crepe mad'
grey antelope tut and wane. with
Hudson seal coat and a small corsage
of roses.
The bode and groom returned on
Monday and Mrs. Carter, wearing her
wedding gown, with a corsage of
Sweetheart roses. received about sixty
guests. She was assisted. by bee
mother, Mrs. Plante, wbo wore black
velvet. The reception was most aahr-

Laren, Reg. N., youngest daughter of

borne township, was united in mar-

est son of Mrs. Twamley and the late
George Twamtey, of Aahileld. Rev.
D. W. Pomeroy officiated. The bride,
given in marriage by ber brother, was

velvet with gold girdle ail gold shoes.

A former resident of Goderlcb. Wil-
liam Kennedy. passed away at West-
minster hospital. London, on Friday
evening. Mr. Kennedy, who was In
his forty-ninth year, was a son of
Patrick Kennedy, of Goderleh, and the
late Mrs. Kennedy: A World War
veteran. be was crippled and bad been
1n poor health state hit return from
overseas. He Wm working on a
farm near Sarnia- when his condition
necessitated his immediate removal to
the homiest He lived just thirty-
two hos-s after being admitted to the

A shockingly sadden death was that
of Mrs. W. J. McCreath, which oo-
currod at ber home, Park street. on
Saturday night. Her Sun,'aertram,

evidently risen from Did when the
fatal attack came on.
Mrs McOreatb was lo her fifty-

home of Mr. and Mrs. C. W. Williams,
Maitland conceasior, OoJertch town-
ship, when their daughter, Mary Mar-
garet,

Keen, St. Catharine*, son of Mr. and
Mrs. J. Keen, 445 Front street, Strat-
ford. Rev. J. W. Herbert officiated.
The house was decorated In pink and
white, with a large white bell in the
centre of the room. The bride, giv-

iven in marriage by her father, wore a
graceful floor -length gown of baby
blue moire, with form -fitting jacket
and E7ltaabethan collar. Her dowers
were pibk and white chrysanthemums.
The bridesmaid. MIAs Gladys Boyer,

and earried gold and white chrysan-
themums. Jack Keen was his broth-
