The office is open five days a week from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Our new girl staffing the office is Cathy Raeburn. Cathy will be marrying a dairy farmer in the next few months and knows farming. She should be a great asset to our organization. Murray Crich and his wife have agreed to run next spring's folk school. We wish them every success in their effort. Bruce county will be sending a resolution to the OFA directors' meeting in Toronto next month, requesting double label ing on farm chemicals during conversion to metric. The directors feel that there is much risk to people and property due to misunderstanding of the metric system. The county was one member short of maintaining 1978's membership at 1224 and missed out on OFA's rebate. A concentrated drive to maintain membership is required. Glen Sawyer reporting on the Porter Commission hearings stated that OFA was reasonably happy with the results. Glen agreed to remain active as a hydro representative. Any Bruce County member having problems of any kind with hydro are urged to contact Glen Sawyer, R.R. 2, Paisley. Our insurance committee is meeting with OFA executive to review the new health insurance plan. A report on this plan will be in our next month's report.
