Whatever you choose, try to have something from each of the
four food groups - bread and cereals, milk and milk products,
meat and alternatives, fruits and vegetables.
Make summer lunches easy. Make sandwiches and quick
desserts ahead of time and freeze them so they are ready to put
into quick lunches. Pack an extra sandwich if you expect it to be a
long time till supper. Buy small cans of juice rather than pop to
put into lunch pails. Remember to keep lunches for the field easy
to prepare, cold, appetizing and uniquely different. -
