Charges fly at bean meeting
Charges, counter -charges and denials marked the recent
Huron County meeting of the Ontario Bean Producers Marketing
Board (OBPMB) while the Perth County meeting with the same
board was relatively restrained.
Huron County producers raised questions about the lack of
payment for their 1977 bean crop, the state of litigation with the
two dealers for payment for the beans and changes in hoard
policies, made at the request of dealers. Some pro( uc •rs
suggested the OBPMB is no longer needed and that they could
