Legion Hall. Brian Ireland gave his report
as regional director for the last year. He
commented that he had attended most of
the meetings in Toronto and enjoyed them.
He felt the Federations trip to the Ottawa
Food co -conference was the highlights of
the O.F.A.'s yearly activity. He mentioned
that the Farm Price index was also one of
our major moves in 1978. He also talked on
property tax reform and Farm machinery
legislation. Herb Henkenhaf in his report
mentioned the fact that the Bruce
Federation was moving there monthly
meetings around the county. He felt this
was a good move.
The guest speaker was Al Kormos. He
has been a director in the Federation for 15
years and has been on the Provincial
Executive for the past 5 years. He talked on
the Federation's concern about super-

the retail movement of food becomes more

Federation's executive approach to
Property Tax Commission reform and he
talked about the corn marketing board. He
also stated that most farmers are unaware
of the Federal Advance payment
programme and how to use it. He praised
our president Peter Hannam as being
innovative and creative.
Elections were again chaired by Bob
Leslie and the results were.
