Our Hampshires win in Breeding classes and also in market hog classes. Here's an example. In June 1977 a
litter mate barrow to the Champion Gilt at the Royal Agricultural Winter Fair won 3rd place carcass in the
production tested barrow class at the Pork Congress.
These successes are backed up by the following results on our market hog production:
1974 Ave. Index 106.4 on 1106 hogs
1975 Ave. Index 107.0 on 1108 hogs
1976 Ave. Index 106.7 on 986 hogs
We feel that we are on the right track when we select longer, taller, larger framed Hampshires. They
can go out and get the job done for the commercial producer who uses breeding stock with the bred -in
ability to reproduce these results.
We would be pleased to be able to supply you with your next boar. We always have boars priced right
for every serious hog man.
