Help!
This month's issue marks the beginning of a new period for
the Rural Voice.
It's two and a half years since the publication was first founded
in June of 1975. It has been plagued in that time with a chronic
problem of there being not enough time to do the kind of things
we wanted to do because it was one of four publications put out
by a hurried crew. Recently, however. the time problem was
solved when two of the publications were sold so now only Rural
Voice and the monthly magazine Village Squire are being
published by the company now named Squire Publishing House.
This new-found time hopefully will enable us to put out the
kind of magazine farmers in Bruce. Perth and Huron counties
need most. But we need your help. First of all, there are so many
farm groups doing so many different things that it's impossible
to keep track of them all. We want to help these organizations
spread their news to other farmers and groups but we have to
know what's going on. Please have someone in your group keep
us informed about your activities.
Secondly the Rural Voice was begun to give rural people a
voice. We need to hear from you whether in letters to the editor,
or in guest articles to let others know what you are thinking.
Thirdly, we need to know just what you need most in a
publication. We can't know that unless you let us know. We want
to produce the publication that you want to read. but to do that
Nye need feedback. Write or call us with your suggestions.
Without your help, then we're just wasting paper and money in
producing this publication which can, we feel, be of real service°
to rural Ontario.
