The Lucknow Fire Department received the call at approx- imately 10:15 a.m. placed by J.C. Dren- nan of Ashfield Township. Brad, the 35 -year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. McQueen was sleeping .at the time ,and Mr. Drennan alerted him to the fire. Mr -and Mrs. McQueen, their daughter, Janet ,and grandchildren, 10 -year-old Christine.and five-year.old,,Kendra, were away .at church when the lire erupted. The family moved here in September from 'Waterloo. Firefighters were in the house for a time, but were forced to evacuate when flames between the two levels caused the ceiling to begin to cave in on them. The fire department was on the scene for close to three hours.
