Dungannon United Church presents an venni: of music On Friday, December 15, at 0 p.m. the Dungannon United Church is sponsoring an evening of Christmas Music at Brookside School. The evening will include the Goderich Harbouraires, an all male ,choral group that has been singing since 1946. The group was founded after the war as a way to join in fellowship with song. While Most of the names and faces have chang- ed, there are still three original of the group today. These men, all of the Goderich area, are Harold Bettger, Harry Westlake and George Parsons. The 35 members practice every Sunday evening Goderich. This group was formed eight years ago, and the 13 members range in age from 12 th 45. This talented group prac- tices once a week with their 37 beautiful bells. The bells, which are valued at 16000 US., truly produce a mullion dollar sound. The MacKay Choristers originated in 1983. The 513 members are conducted by Iris Stewart, accompanied by Joan Hen - wood. Recent performances have includ- ed Roy Thompson Hall in Toronto and the Kitchener Music Festival. They have placed first in the Kitchener choirfest three times. For an evening of Christmas music be sure and take in this special event. Interme tes down Dundalk The Lucknow Lancers got back in the win column after coming out on top of a 9 - 7 score with Dundalk Sunday night. Grant Gilchrist led the Lancer attack with three goals, while Rod Simpson played quarterback on defence with four assists. Scott Hackett, Steve Simpson, Steve MacPherson and Larry MacPher- son added singles for the Liners and Chris Irwin even scored for the locals. The Lancers next game is Sunday night in Lucknow when Wiartot comes to town for a 7:30 start.
