Lucknow , now gets into
festive mood
Once again as Christmas approaches
all the colorful decorations and lights
help to get us in the festive mood. The
garlands and bells are decorating the
lamp posts and the big tree is in place in
front of the Post Office.
The Christmas programs are starting
to take place with the C.G.I.T. Vesper
service in South Kinloss Presbyterian
church on Sunday evening and the
Seniors' Christmas party sponsored by
die Junior Women's Institute on Monday
evening
Home for an early Christmas get-
together with their parents, 'Ken and
Elleda Laidlaw, on the weekend were Pat
and Kirsty Bell, Guelph; Dianne and Bill
Swan, Jonathan and Jane, Guelph;• and
Joyce, Bill, and Joshua Shepherd of
Camlachie.
It is good to see that Spence Irwin is
able to be back home after spending ten
days in Wingham Hospital. We hope he is
soon .able to enjoy better health.
Congratulations to Mr. and Mrs.
William Stanley who were marrried 63
years on December 1.
The Funeral Home has been a busy
place lately with three funerals in three
days. Hugh Menary ,on Saturday; Harry
Carr on Sunday, and Mrs. Orley Cooper
on Monday. Sympathy is extended to
family and friends of each of them.
Sympathy is also extended to Anna
Mae Hunter in the passing of her
brother-in-law, Lou Parker, of Plattsvl le.
The Parkers used to live on Willoughby
Street and Mrs. Parker taught school in
Lucknow and Kinloss Central School.
Jimmy Clark is moving into 714
_Havelock St., the home owned by Betsy
Henderson.
Visitors on the weekend with Austin
and Mildred Loree were their daughter,
Shirley, Kaibfleiseh of RR 2 Moorefield -on
Saturday and Gordon and Donna Moore
of RR 1 Listowel on Sunday evening.
Donald Andrew of Olds, Alberta was
visiting with his family and friends in
Lucknow during the past two weeks.

- were `snug. asi a bug" in their
snowsuits,, enjoying the hot chocolate
served and taking part in the carol sing-
ing, during the kickoff to Christmas
festivities in Lucknow last Friday even-
