Edith Pearl Cooper
Pearl (White) Cooper, formerly of
Lueknow, passed away at the Hilltop
Manor, Cambridge, WI December b, 1989
in her 90th year.
Mr& Cooper was born on February 27,
1906 in Wellington County, Ontario, to
Cornelius and Mary (Jones) White.
Left to survive are two sisters, E1enora
Litwiller, of Mississauga and Muriel
Yuill, of Cambridge; a brother, Harold
White of Hanover; several nieces and
nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband
Orley Cooper, four brothers and three
sisters.
The funeral service was conducted by
Rev. Peggy Kinsman of the ' Lucknow
Presbyterian Church, from the MacKen-
zie and McCreath Funeral Home,
Lucknow, on Monday, December 4.

WINIFRED WRIGHTSON
Winifred Wrightson passed away at
Brucelea Haven, Walkerton on November
19, 1989 in her 86th year.
She was born in Glamis to the late
Joseph and Jessie (Gilchrist) Wrightson.
Most of her life was spent in Glammis,
and for many years she was the organist
for St. Paul's Presbyterian Church, as
well as the Glammis correspondent for
several area newspapers. In 1962, she
moved to the Lueknow area to live with
her cousins, Fred and Helen Gilchrist,
and in 1972, she relocated to Brucelea
Haven in Walkerton.
Winnie's only brother, John, and one
Cemetery. nephew William predeceased her. She is
survived by her sistertinn-flaw Anne ,of
Glammis, nephew Robert of Montreal,
and four grand -nieces in ritish
Columbia.
Funeral Services were conducted by
the Rev. Rod Lamb at the W. Kent
Milroy Paisley Chapel on November 22,
1989, followed by interment in Purdy's
Cemetery.
William Henry (Harry) Carr
William Henry (Harry) Carr passed
away at his residence in Dungannon on
Friday, December 1, 1969. A farmer all
his life, Mr. Carr was 87.
He was born in Wingham on August 27,
1902 a son of the late William and Eliza
(Johnston) Carr.
Mr. Carr is surviv . by one brother
Edgar and a sister, Iva Carr, both of
Dungannon.
Several nieces, nephews, great nieces
and nephews and two great, great nieces
survive.
He was predeceased by his parents
William and Eliza Carr, two sisters,
Hazel and Irene.
The funeral service was held on Sun-
day, December 3, from MacKenzie and
McCreath Funeral Home, Lucknow, con-
ducted by Rev. Peggy Kinsman of The
Lucknow Presbyterian Church.
Pallbearers were Art Young, Torn
Young, George Errington, Harold Culbert,
Roy Robson and Wayne Bauer.

William Hugh Menary
Hugh Menary of R. 7, Lucknow, in
Ashfield Township, passed away in
Wingham and District Hospital on
November 29, 1989, in his 90th year. Mr.
Menary was a retired farmer and a
member of Trinity United Church
(Ashfield).
Mr. Menary was born in Ashfield
Township on August 16, 1900. He was a
son of the late William and Jessie
(Phillips) Menary.
He is survived by his wife, Dolly
(Cooke) ; two daughters, Irene, Mrs.
Keith Blake of R. 7, Lucknow; Caryle,
Mrs. Keith Hickling, of R. 4, Hanover,
and one son, Ron of R. 7, Lucknow.
He also leaves to mourn his passing, a
sister, Louisa Reid of Lucknow; brothers,
Phil of West Wawanosh Township and
Cliff of Lucknow; a sister-in-law, Pearl
Menary of Lucknow; nine grandchildren
and four great grandchildren.
Mr. Menary was predeceased by two
brothers Vance and Livingston.
Rev. R. Roberts of Trinity United
Church conducted the funeral service on
Saturday, December 2, from the MacKen-
zie and McCreath Funeral Home,
Lucknow.
Flower bearers were three grand-
children, Michael, Lisa and Sarah.
Pallbearers were six grandsons, Larry
Blake, Jack Wilkins, Colin Snyder, Fred
Trewartha, Cameron Hickling and Peter
Merchant.

Gordon Kurt of the upper Twelfth Conces-
sion. Mr. Kurt passed away last week.
Bill and Lorraine MacPherson visited on
Tuesday with Don and Tiny Robertson.
Recently the :Robertsons' attended the 55th
wedding anniversary of Mr. & Mrs.
Clarence MacDonald, Brantford.
Morley and Deanna Scott attended the
Scott Christmas dinner held in Purple
Grove Community Centre on Sunday.

Old .Fashlaned hrj nos supper to be held
at Purple Grove Community Centre. Sleigh
rides at 6 :p.m., supper at 7 p.m. with the
concert to follow. Children are asked to
bring :a decoration, preferably homemade,
for the 'Christmas tree.
Last week, a former long time resident
of the Tenth, and a teacher at Purple
Grove ,passed away. Condolences are ex-
