antam A's take two wins
The Lucknow Bantam 'A' team came
p with two consecutive wins last week.
The first :game against Mildmay was
clearly a no contest game as Lucknow
put 11 goals past the Mildmay goal
tender. Mildmay was able to put one
away which resulted in making a shutout
impossi'ble. The final score was 11 - 1,
with goals from Justin Murray, Matt
Drennan, Warren Andrew, Cluis Hum-
phrey, Matt Sproul, Scott Rin' touLand
nice hat trick for Brad Rhody. Assists
this game wen to Duayne Porter, Chris
Humphrey, Scott Rhitoul, Matt Sproul,
Daryl ,Gibson, Stan Kikkert, Rob Crich,
Warren Andrew, Justin Murray and
Vince Stiddend with a four assist total.
Ludlum vs KurtzvIlle
The next game found the team in Kurt-
Novice house league
zville •on a snowy night. It was a hard
fought game with Lucknow coming away
victorious scorin, fur goals to Kurt-
zville's two. Stan Kikkert put a .nice one
in behind the goal tender, assisted by
Justin Murray to pen the scoring for
Lucknow. Vince Sticklend put the second
one away unassisted, after .stealing tin
puck at the blue line.
Justin Murray netted the third for the
team unassisted after much effort on his
part. The tenacity .of Clint Murray cer-
tainly showed up when he dumped the
fourth goal on the Kurtzville team. Clint
was assisted by Matt Sproul and Warren
Andrew Adam Mellen was in net for
Lucknow and had a superb game, mak-
ing many dazzling saves.
On November 11, the Lucknow Novice
Rouseleague team travelled to Clifford
for their first game of the year. Clifford
'scored early and in spite of many scor-
ing chances by both teams, the score re -
mained Clifford 1, Lucknow 0 when the
game was over.
On November 18, Lucknow played host
to Winghan. Lucknow opened the scoring
tin the tint period with a goal by Daryl
Aitchision with Conor McDonagh and
Robbie McGee assisting. Wingham scored
in the second period and the game re-
mained tied until the third when Conor
McDonagh scored with the help of Den-
nis Lubbers and Mike Wyndham. Less
than a minute later, Lucknow scored
again when Dennis Lubbers put the puck
in the net with assists going to Mike
Wyndham and Ricky Steward. Wingham
scored two minutes later to close the gap

but Lucknow put the game out of reach
when Jeff Cranston scored with a shot
from the blue line, with assists going to
Nicholas Mann and John VanDiepenbeek.
The final score was Lucknow 4, Wingharn
2.
District president
explains officers'
duties to WI
The Lucknow Women's Institute
November meeting was held on the 14th
with Marion McFarlane, Elizabeth Robin-
son and Kay McIntosh as convenors.
Dorothy Brown, the president, opened the
meeting with the Opening Ode and the
Mary Stewart Collect, followed by a
poem, November.
Tillie Wilson gave a report about the
plaques donated to the Lucknow Public
School.
The rollcall was answered by changes
I have seen in the Institute since I join-
ed. The minutes of the last meeting and
correspondence Were discussed. A dona-
tion to the Wingham Homebound and the
Christmas Benevolent Fund were approv-
ed. The treasurer's report was given by
Mabel Whitby.
Reports of the Area Convention at
Thornbury were given by Edna Young
and Mabel Whitby. Tillie Wilson and
Grace Gibson reported on the District
Convention held in Paisley.
Mrs McFarlane was in charge of the
program and gave the motto, The Change
is to Grow. Jean McGuire, District Presi-
dent, reviewed the duties of each officer
elected to fill the different offices, which
proved to be very helpful.
The meeting ended with a sing song, a
reading by Kay McIntosh and members
participating in a contest.
Town and County
Club enjoy pot luck
The Lieknow Town and Country Club
met in the Legion Hall November 13 for
a noon pot luck meal. A sing -a -long was
•enjoyed by Agnes Farrier at the piano.
Prefildent ;Joan Robinson chaired the
meting. Members agreed to give a $25
donation to Wingham and Area Day Cen-
tre for the Homebound
Constable Andy Burgess of the Kincar-
dine OPP will he the special speaker at
the NoveMber :27 meeting.
Members are *minded that member-
ships are now due.
The prograM included readings by An-
na Dexter, Pa and Ma and the Auto;
Laverne Cooper, How to know your grow-
ing older; Anna Johnstone, Sandy Mac -
Tartan; Joan Robinson, Why Wear a
Poppy and The General Store; Margaret
Collyer, The Fat Girls Lament. Musical
numbers by The Whitechurch Trio ladies,
Agnes Farrier, Gertie and Mary
Beim were enjoyed. Several nurnbers by
Harold Campbell, Ira Dickie, Jean COD -
ley and Agnes Farrier entertained the
gathering.

Junior WI holds potluck
The Lucknow Junior Women's Institute
held Its annual potluck SUPPer on Tues-
day, November 14. This year everyone
gathered at the bogie of President, Nan -
Brown. A wide variety of main dishes
and" desserts were brought by members
.enjoyed by all. Following
