residents of Pineerest Nursing Home on

held their meeting November 1 at the
home of Gertrude Durnin. The topic was
World c ch And Leadership.
Agnes Farrier gave the call to worship
and Margaret Sleightlxilm read the scrip-
ture from Proverbs. Hazel Laidlaw led in
prayer.
The topic was taken from the Mandate
magazine . Mrs. Laidlaw read about
young Christian leaders in Indonesia.
They are called motivators, helping the
communities to be self reliant. Mrs.
Sleiglitholm read about Partners with a
difference. Ede Presbyterians in South
Western "'Ontario ond St. James 'United
Church in Enloe Are w with the

Mrs. Farrier read aboelLeotho, train-
ing young people in farming to combat

Whitechurch Institute
Norma Rantoul was the convener for
the November meeting held on the 8th in
the hall. The meet* opened with the
Operdng Ode, Mary Stewart Collect and
Lord's prayer. •
President Marjorie Wall gave a thought
for the day; people are just as happy as
they make up their minds to be.
Agnes Farrier read the minutes and
correspondence. The Christmas dinner
will be held December 13 at noon -kr the
Anglican Church in 'Wingham. The secret
sister exchange will be a gift of $3.00.
The rollcall was answered by 14
members and two visitors.
Mrs. Rhgoul took over the ineeting
with a reading, Remember the Fallen
and on a lighter vein a reading on
metric.
