Meeting five was held on October 74, at
Kathleen °Eiliott's home. The meeting
opened with those present repeating the
41 pledge. Roll call was answered with
:a safety precaution to be aware of when
!using the microwave or the conventional
(oven.
Cookware for the microwave was
discussed and judged. The leaders in-
formed members of the proper placement
with the reasons given. Defrosting,
reheating, and the arrangement of the
food in the oven were also talked about.
Plans were finalized for the
Information -Demonstration meeting to be
held on November 1, in the Whitechurch
Community Hall.
The meeting closed by all repeating the
motto.
Meeting six was in the form of a
Demonstration -Information meeting held
in the Whitechurch Community Hall on
November 1. The members had sent out
invitations to anyone that they wished to
invite. This included members of the
Whitechurch Women's Institute. Brenda
Gugg was at the door to hand guests a
door prize number and guide them to the
refreshments, of popcorn and Grape
Spritzer. •
• President, Steve Rintoul called the
meeting to order and asked everyone to
join in repeating the 411 pledge. He then
introduced the members and their
leaders. Steve introduced each member
and the dish that they were
demonstrating.
• 1VIaryon Dow and Sheila Moir explain-
. ed that they had made the meat sauce
and • had it frozen. They thawed it and
served it on pieces of bun. Scott Rintoul
made bunwiches and they were passed •
around later for, all to sample. Brenda
Gugg helped Scott.

Lucknow Village Market; swiss rolls
from Knechtel Foods Wingham; with the
lucky winners being: Jean Ross, Cathy

Maryon Dow then talked about three
different kinds of tea biscuits on display.
One was made from scratch, one from a
frozen dough, one from a dry packaged
mix. She gave everyone a prepared sam-
ple of the finished tea biscuit and we
decided which was which. She did a cost

source.

everyone. Dianne Ross presented Barb
