Kinettes raise
$1266 for
sic Fibrosis
To the editor:
The Lucknow and District Kinette club
extends ..its thanks to the public for the
support given at the toll conducted for
Cystic Fibrosis on October 6.
At the Kinsmen-Kinette Fall Leadership
Council held in St. Catherines on October
28 and 29, some members had the oppor-
tunity to hear a mother of a child with
Cystic Fibrosis speak. This lady made
those attending realize how grateful
parents of C.F. children are for all the
work done by. °the.•iii r organization in
raising money - $13 million since 1964 -
for research.
With the recent breakthrough in iden,
tifying the C.F. gene these parents are
filled with hope that a cure :for this heart-
breaking disease, which leads to the
death of many young people, will be
found.
On behalf of families with C.F.
children, the Kinettes of Lucknow thank
you for the $1266.82 raised at the C.F.
Toll.
Sincerely,
Wilma Blake,
Chairperson CF toll.
