Room 12 is doing a unit on trees, and
hoping to make an excursion to
Wawanosh Conservation Area to learn
more about identifying various trees.
We may visit Chishohn's to see -first
hand how trees are harvested and
managed. Our art lessons have been
centred around trees and leaves as well.

J i Science we have been testing all
sorts of solutions in experimental form.
Nothing has blown up yet!! Dree's chair
legs went in all directions one noon
causing quite :a let down. We also have
been reading a scary, suspseful Story
called 'Down a Dark Hall". It is writ-
ten by Lois Duncan. We started reading
buddies this wIek. We are paired with
Miss Morton's Grade. 3 class.

This year a number of Brookside
students ...attended Dungannon and
Lueknow,fall r,fairs. Many .examples of
prize winning school work from
Brookside ,and other participating
schools were•displayed, not to mention,
there were two very welltdecorated
floats at Abe ,fairs with many students
.and staftabeard. At Lucknow a number
students were successful in showing
their '411 valves. These included Heather
Alton* Ede Andrew, Dawn Dow, and
Binh. Diemen: A special mention to
Kevin RintoUl who won best steer over
