If you see me "milking down the street
with my Alinon the ground,
o y lips and 1 e Pm ready to
try don't panic - I didn't lose a loved
tuber of my family. No, I aim merely
having all my nightmares about the
darkroom come true, all in a period of
one week.
In addition to being dressed, 'Pm
mad `.as ...., and •I'm not going to take it
any more"! as well as having Wilts

tog through the grey matter.
it has been a bad week for me, and
that is it mildly. It all began
when :Iwent into the thutroom the Mon-
day after the fair. I had wetted
diligent-
ly all weekend capturing many, many
different shots on film. Having gained a
thimble fall of :,confidence over the last
nine mantra, :I calmly went into the
darkroom with five -rolls of film. When I
emerged sou etime later with the
developed 'film in hand, both my .co-
workers were about to•call the emergen-
cy ambulance amber. fey were sue I
was having a seizure of some kind or
another.
If you remember looking at the pic-
tures in last week's paper, you can well
understand my -frame of mind. Not even
as an inexperienced rookie did I ever
have sem rotten pictures.
Just prior •to Witting down to write this

Number One San
Number One Son was home from col-
lege again this weekend. I think he
misses home. Be especially appreciates
the eare packages that we said back
every time he comes home. He thinks
he's losing weight - so I guess mother's
cooking wasn't .all that bad!
He has settled in nicely and is enjoy-
ing
njoying his new found freedom and his
courses at college.
Iget atick out ofMaiming tohim talk
about doing dishes and keeping his
domicile man.
Surprisingly I have adjusted to the
empty nest syndrome - I don't cry
anymore When he leaves ,to go back to
school. All .those experienced mothers
who comforted me When 1 worried about
Number etre Son leaving, may now say,
'41 told you so!"
I read ,an ate lin the Toronto .Star an
the . diiflcUltites faced by students going to
university or college. For those who are
ioutrof rovince .students, being away from
home anurit be :quite an adjustment. They
.can% jump in a car and go home for the
weekend. The loneliness, .study load and
snaking new friends is quite a load for all
these young people to carry on their
shoulders.
