There was certainly a lineup of
beautiful girls participating in the Miss
ad -Western Ontario Pageant as part of
the laCknow Fill Fair on Saturday.
They were all winners.
Lad week Mr. and Mrs. John 13.
Houston of Owen Sound visited with
their sisteriin-law, Elsie Houston.
Visiting at the home of Gordon and
Etta Struthers of Lucknow last week
were Gordon's wish's, Alvin (Pat) and
his WUe Beth Struthers from Ab-
botsford, British Columbia, another
cousin Bill Struthers and hiend ti y
Tournover of Acton, his twin sisters
Jean McLeod of Lucknow arid -Mary and
Hugh Simpson of Whitechurch and Bob
Struthers of Lucknow. The only other
Struthers cousin Russell and Fran of
Preston were not present as they were
visiting their son and his wife and fain'
ly in B.C. Mr. and Mrs. Roy Finniga
of Goderich visited with the •Struther
on Sunday.
Sharon Bedford of Mississauga visited
her mother Lulu Stanley last week, then
Wednesday they went to Walkerton and
visited Mr. and Mrs. R.J. Kaake and at-
tended a chicken barbecue with them.
Leonard and Barbara MadLeod •of
Brantford spent the weekend in
Lucknow and helped his sister, Evelyn
Little move back to her own home from
Dryden 'Manor.
Mr. and Mrs. Donald MacDonakl of
Nashville Tennessee have been visiting
for the past three weeks with his mud
Jennie Porteous and other friends in the
vichay. On Sunday, Barry Jewitt of
Sarnia accompanied by his daughter
and son-in-law called on Jennie.
Harvey Wightman and his mother
Elleda, have returned tome from a
month-long trip to CsdigarY,. 4014
Regina and Terrace Bay m Northern
Ontario. While in Calgary they -attended
the wedding of Mrs: Wightman's grand-
son, son of her daughter Patty
Boothman.
The five children df Ron and Kay

sary patty for their parents 48th wed-
ding armiversary 'next week, last Sun-
day. They started with brunch at the

dived friends and relatives joined to ex-
tend their 'best wishes. It was also
Janelle Sutton's eighth birthday so she
was able to join in on the celebrations,

Also celebrating birthdays this last
weekend were Robert Kugler and his
grandmother Maria Kronen. Joining
them for a birthday celebration at the
home of Bob and Larissa Kugler were
Aunt Olga O'Sullivan and other Mends
from London.

Two bus loans Of ladies from the

trip to Crieli Bills, south of Guelph and
west of Puslinch.on September n.
Crieff Hills is owned and operated by
the Presbyterian Church in Canada as a
retreat and conference centre for the
church, under the directorthip of Rev.
Robert Spencer.
Following a tour of the property, lun-
cheon was served in McLean Hall

There are six different buildings to house
guests so they can accommodate up to 80
people or smaller groups4if 42 to 20. Any
Church group is welcome. They are hop-
ing to bulk' a large conference building
and are presently going through the
OMB.
Isabel Thompson, Agnes Bregman and
Helen Elliott conducted a workshop on
the study books to be used in the coming
year; one about the Pluliiphies and the
other on Islam.
Erna Baldenby „presented the bible
