their 30th wedding anniversary
Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Stanley and son
Terry returned to their home at Richer
'Manitoba. They were here attending the
Smyth -Stanley wedding at Walkerton
United Church on Saturday which was
followed by a dinner and reception at the
Lucknow Community Centre. Cindy is a
daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Leonard
Stanley and we extend congratulations to
the *newlyweds.
Mr. and Mrs. George Barrell of
Erajrjpton spent the weekend with Mr.
and Mrs. David Holdenby and family and
other relatives.
Congratulations to Becky Ackert who
bas returned after her year long ,Rotary
firchange in Japan and -to Mary and Jef-
frey Ackert with their champion cattle at
the ME at Toronto. These young people
grew up here, the family of Ernest and
Bonnie Ackert.
Mr. and Mrs. Lyman Sutton returned
e from Western Canada where they
visited with M. and Mrs. Bud Sutton.
They also -railed on Mr. and Mrs.
Malley and Mr. and Mrs. Ar-

A demonstration was given by Joanne
Van Dam of painting on T-shirts and
various kinds of material. She had a nice
display and some members gave it a try.
She was thanked and presented with a
gift in appreciation.
Jean McGuire, president of Bruce
South District, was present and brought
greetings from the District and invited as
-many as can to attend the area conven-
tion at Thornbug.
Lucky door prizes were drawn for dur-
ing the meeting.
All enjoyed a sing along with the BWI
pianist Edna Boyle accompanying.
The Arthritis packs were handed out to
the faithful canvassers.
Holyrood WI decided to not have a
display at the Lucknow Fall Fir.

Janet Lane of Kinlough, Frances Spal-
ing of and Tammara Hodgins of
Glencoe attended the Leadership and Ac-
tion Camp at Bark Lake, near lrondale,
from September 2 to 6. Janet, Frances
and Tammara were among 30 par-
ticipants from all over Ontario delegated
to learn and improve their leadership
qualities. •

Brad Taylor
Bradley Roland Taylor died as a result
of a car .accident near 'Seaford) .on Sun-
day, August 13, 1989. Re was 16.
Born in Goderich Hospital on January
3, 1973, he was the third son of Margaret
(MI41100 Taylor of Welton, and Wililam
Taylor of Proton Motion.
He was a Grade 11 student at the
Seaforth District AO School and was an
avid sports competitor, playing hockey,
baseball, basketball and ball hockey.
in addition to his parents ,he is surviv-
ed I*/ Ave brothers,„ Richard OW of IL

sister, Lynn McDonsgb and her bouband
Wayne of Lucknow.
