Catherine (Katie) Irwin' , the former
Katie Blue, wife of the late Lloyd Irwin,
passed away in 'the Mak:0hp Retirement
Home in Kincardine on August 29, 1989.
Her birthday was May 20, 1903, born in
Huron Township with parents James and
Mary Blue. She is survived by one son
Allan Irwin of Ripley and three grand-
daughters, Katherine Paquette of Birr,
Joan Irwin of Toronto, and Connie Zrini
of London:
She is also survived by one grandson,
Paul Irwin of Oshawa, two great-
grandchildren, also several nieces and
nephews. She was predeceased by four
brothers and three sisters.
The funeral service was held in the
liacRearie McCreath Funeral Home th
Ripley at 2 p.m. on Friday, September 1,
1) with Rev. Glen MacPherson of St.
Andrew's 'United .Church officiating. Inter-
ment in Rip' ley Cemetery.
Donations were made to St. Andrew's
United Church, Ripley or to the Ontario
Heart and Stroke Fund.
Pallbearers were Ronnie Irwin, Doug
Irwin, Jack Scott, Paul Irwin, Jerry
Zrini, Jim Paquette. Flowerbearers, Ken
Bill Scott, Eugene Blue and
•Jim Blue.
Visited Far A Week
Marion Munn and Adeline Ladd (nee
Harris) spent the week of August 21 at
Ken Pottier% cottage at Bruce Beach.
While there, she visited with her brother
Dr. J.D. Munn at bis farm at Blairs
Grove as well as Old friends and :acquain-
tances in lli.phsy.
Visited With Her Father
Jennifer Scott of Toronto visited with
her father Russell Scott at his home on
the fourth concession east in Huron
Township last weekend, with its nice sim-
sw weather.
Moved Into Apartment
Ruby Bonnett and daughters Donna,
Heather and Julie have just moved into
the Ab "Wyld's apartment and the girls
will attenthschool in Ripley, transferring

The Five Star Qirilters Guild Committee
met at the _home Of Sharon Stein for the
August meeting on Sept. 27. Quitters' Sup-
ply of Hyde Park, landon -will attend
with their Tirmk Sho*.
'The meeting will be held at the
larelmow Town Hall. New members will
be -welcomed and further particulars may
be obtained by contacting Mary Mac-
Donald to Betty .Scott of Ripley.
Happy Hearts Meeting
The September meeting of the Ripley
Senior -Happy Heart Club will be held on
Sept. 8 in the basement of St. /Andrew's
-United Clun.ch with a potluck dinner at 12
noon.

registration.
