We will meet at 11:00 a.m. at Jim Gowland's soybean got, on the eth of Clams, halknile east of Highway No. 4. Following this, we Will have lunch in Formosa, and then tour the 'Northern Algonquin Brewing Company. In the .aftemoon, we will look at some crop and soybean variety trials in the qepstow area. Canaervatian Tllikge Deaseeuttratiiin The Teeswater 4-11 _Machinery Club is holding a conservation tillage demonstration on Saturday, .September 9 from 100 p.m. -4:00 p.m. and has invited the public to attend. It will take place at the farm of Tom Fischer at Ambleside (corner of 6th of Culross and Formosa/Belmore Road - Watch for signs in the area). This is a good dunce to see a variety of conservation tillage implements in operation, as well as a no -till drill and no -till planter. See you there! Change In Laboratory Testing Serviees As of September 1, 1989 the Ontako Ministry of Agriculture will no longer have a ernitract with Agri -Food Laboratories to do analysis on soils, ant tissues and livestock feeds. Producers will now choose the laboratories where they wish to send their -samples and pay the laboratory accordingly. The Ministry has ae- xredited laboratories to provide testing services and will also supply "generic" sampling boxes, bags and envelopes. Producers are requested to destroy any sampling kits previously supplied by Agri -Food Labs. As of September 1st the following labs have been accredited for farm soil samples: -Accutest Laboratories Ltd. Nepean -Agri-Food 'Laboratories, Gueph C.J.L. Soil & Tissue Testing Centre, Onnizight Those presently accredited for feed , samples are: Agri -Food Laboratories, Guelph Canpro Laboratories, Downsview C.I.L. Soil & Tissue Testing Centre, Courtright United Cooperatives of Ontario, Guelph For those producers enrolled on the Ontario Pork Industry improvement Plan, present feed vouchers are no longer useable and no free -feed vouchers will be issued in the future. A list of a ted laboratories and their fee schedules is available for view- ing at your local 0-.M.A.F. office. Producers can still obtain sampling boxes, forms, etc. at the office as well. To ensure proper sampling, soil samplers and hay samplers are available through the Bruce County of- fice at a _cost Of PO and sis respeetively as a project of the Bruce County -Soil & Crop bnprovement Association.
