The event, sponsored by the Lucknow Agricultural Society, takes place in the community centre, starting with a con- cert at :8:15 pm. This evening is planned for the whole family, with Moe "N" The 'Lawn .pro- viding music for dancing. The crowning of Miss Lucknow will take place at 11:30 p.m. Miss Lucknow will be a busy lady during her reign, opening the Fall Fair the following weekend and representing Lucknow in the Miss Mid -Western Ontario Pageant on September 16. She will also represent the local Agricultural .Society at their annual convention held in Toronto in February and will join other fair queens from across the province at the C:N.E. next summer. Make a date to attend this event, giv- ing your support to the five lovely young ladies participating and to the Agricultural Society of this village. lall Fair Cindy Struthers is sponsored by the Lucknow and District Lions Club. (Rob Bundy photo) junior Farmers to recognize rural leaders The Huron County Junior Farmers are sponsoring an Agri -Food Week Din- ner to recognize Huron County's rural leaders and agricultural success. "Huron Colmty: An Agricultural Leader III" will be held Monday, Oc- tober 2, at 7:00 p.m. in the Clinton Legion. The evening is planned to celebrate • Agri -Food Week, recognize agriculture in Huron County and honour local people for their outstanding leader- ship and contributions to the rural com- munity and agriculture in Huron Coun- ty. Recipients will receive a Rural Leadership Award. Along with the din- ner and award presentations various guest speakers will be talking about various aspects of Agri -Business. The Huron County Junior Farmers will welcome nominations for the Rural Leadership Awards for individuals or groups until September 20th.
