Allison and Priscilla Ramsay were able to leave for their new home in Prince Edward Island on Wednesday, August 23, three weeks later than they had planned. Their grandson Andrew was released from hospital in London and able to return with them. The family of the late Edward and Rosemary Thom held their 5th annual reunion on Sunday, August 13 at the Martin cottage, Arnberley Beach. Mrs. Martin, the 'former Jean Thom of Long Beach, California spent her sununer here. Thirty-five attended the gathering. Recent visitors with Jessie Johnston included J.K. and Sherry Agnew of Plymouth, Michigan; Doug and Sue Agnew, Ann Arbor, Michigan; Brenda Scott and baby Kelsey Agnew, Watagua, Lake Michigan; Bob, Lorie and Carlie Evans, Florida; Jeff, Kathy, Jeff Jr., and Lacole Seveney of Florida; Bob, Mary, Bethany and Eric Birkhaug of Lake Villa, Illinois; Anna Mae Childress of Detroit and Lloyd and Bertha Taylor of Sarnia. Lulu Stanley .has returned home after spending time two weeks in Mississauga with Sharon and Tony Bedford. While there they spent one day in Niagara Falls and Lulu was able to visit her sister-in-law Marette Hodgins. Murdean MacLeod of'Bancroft visited her sister Evelyn Little last week. Visitors with Rhoda MacKenzie last week were Shirley Weibel, Southfield, Michigan, Betty Smith, London, and Mrs. Danny MacKenzie . and daughter Kristen of Calgary. Dick .and Mary Lou Richards of North Gower in the Ottawa vicinity, Colleen ,acid baby Danny spent the last two weeks at Boiler Beach and -during this time visited relatives and friends in the Lucknow area. Barbara and Leonard MacLeod of Brantford visited with Evelyn Little on their way home from a trip through Northern, Ontario and Manitoba. They visited Johnston MacLeod formerly of Ripley at Dauphin, Manitoba .and although he. is in the hospital found ;him looking well. Clarence and Alice Ritchie have returned home from a five week camp- ing trip to the Yukon and Alaska. They spent some time with their son Steve and Trudy at Water Valley, Alberta, both coming and going and called on Bryan and Vana Gammie in Dawson Ci- ty. Since returning home they received word that Steve and Trudy have a new wee girl born August 24 and is their tenth grandchild. The McLean - McMillan Reunion was held Sunday at the home of Allan and Laurie Willits, RR 1 Wingham. Atten- ding from this area were Sadie McMillan, Murray and Isabelle Wilkin and family, Ewan and Marjorie McLean and Bruce and Barb Willits, Cindy and Melanie. Jean Reid of Pinecrest Manor will be celebrating her 92nd birthday on Sun- day, September 3. Congratulations! Phillip Loree of Hanover is spending a few days this week holidaying with his grandparents, Austin and Mildred Loree as his sister Becky had spent a few days a couple of weeks ago, and next week he is joining all the other boys and girls that have to go to school. In addition to -Lucknow and area residents participating, visitors from as far as Waterloo took part in the program. Appreciation is extended to all those who donated materials and ideas. Your support helped to make yet another suc- cessful recreation program for the young Dueto amechanical failure the swim- ming pool had to be closed prematurely. Three hundred and' eighty-seven boys and girls took swimming lessons this summer. The aerobics class received enthusiastic approval from those participating. See you next summer!
