this summer
About 40 youngsters are playing soccer
this summer in Lucknow. There are two
teams; Squirts ag.°:. 6 - 8, and Atoms ag-
ed 8 - 10.
Even though the teams are not part of
any league they have played, or will be
playing exhibition games against teams
in the surrounding area.
To date the Squirts have one one
against Blyth and lost two to Goderich. A
future game will be played against
Ripley on August 21, 7 p.m. at Ripley
Public School.
The Atoms have defeated Goderich and
Blyth. In the future they will play
Goderich, Ripley and Blyth. Home games
are played at the Lucknow Central Public
School and start at 7 p.m.
The next home game for. the Atoms is
Wednesday, August 16 (tonight) when
Blyth will be in town.
Hopefully, next season one team will
enter a league. Now,. if only za.new soc-
