Te grandchildren returned home'with their parents after visiting 'with their grandmother. Mr. and Mrs. Dave Millar of Three Rivera, Alberta, visited on Monday last with Mr. and Mrs. Hutch Simpson. Chalmers WMS Chalmers WMS held their July meeting on the 19th at the -cottage of Rev. and Mrs. John Neilson at Point Clark. Mrs. Neilson served dessert before the meeting. Mrs. Wallace Milligan and Mrs. Vera Falconer were the leaders. Mrs. Milligan gave the call to worship in the absence of Mrs. Falconer. The scripture from Psalm 8, 3-5 was taken by Mrs. Milligan. Mrs. A. Purdon followed with the meditation, Remembering Who You Are. A reading called Footprints was read by Mary Simpson followed with a reading calledTStrange Fishing by Jean Ross. The roll -call was answered by nine HITECNURCH by Jean Ross members and one visitor with a verse containing the word lake. Mrs. Neilson read the minutes and the business followed. Mrs. A. Purdon reported on the visiting that was done during the month. There will be no August meeting. The September meeting to be at Mrs. W. Milligan's on the 20th. The ladies are packing a bale and the clothing etc. is to be in by July 30 at the church. Mrs. Milligan closed with prayer. The ladies aid followed with plans to have a booth at Annie Laidlaw6 sale and to cater to the Presbytery meeting in September for a noon meal. Rev. Neilson closed the afternoon with prayer. Everyone enjoyed the afternoon at the lake. Rev. Cro thers inducted into er-and-Be-thetelutra A very impressive service was held at the Pine River United Church on Thurs- day July 13 when Rev. Tom Crothers was inducted into the Pine River and Bethel Churches. The participants for the evening were Dale Martin (conductor of the service). The message was given by Rev. Ralph Schmidt and the chairman was Rev. John Oestreicher. All the members of the Bruce Presbytery, the presbytery members and members of the churches. were in- vited to the reception which was held in the Sunday School room in the base- ment of the church. Visiting with Elmer and Edna Culbert, were Eimer's brother and nephew, Borden and James Culbert of Redford, Michigan. Charlene . Jones of Guelph was home with her parents..Barry and Betty Jones on the weekend. es , retnrns-fromrBB Alesha Moffat has returned home from her camping 'trip with the Pathfinders. Alesha camped at Kelowna, B.C. and was billeted with a family at Salmon Arm. Alesha said she really 'en- joyed her two weeks there. She flew to 'Calgary and then went on to B.C. by bus. • Visiting with • Muriel and Frank MacKenzie were their daughter Heather and her two ,girls from Riverside California, their son, Rod and May and -their two :sons, Bill and Alex of Union- ville; Beryle .'Lee of Toronto, and their granddaughter 1Vlirelle MacKenzie of Cobourg Who is holidaying for a few weeks with ,them. The " t{irkin' 0' the Tartan which was held at Lucknow Presbyterian church on Sunday was well represented 'from this area: Frank and Rod MacKenzie piped the Tartan bearers into the church.
