Henderson honoured their mother at a
very enjoyable Mother's Day weekend at
the home of Rev. John and Dorothy
Henderson in Waterloo.
Lulu Stanley spent a few days with her
son Larry and family in Kincardine. On
Mother's Day they all went to the Bruce
Inn for brunch.
Birthday wishes go out this week to Mrs.
Becky Elliott of Pinecrest Manor who will
be 98 on May 28.
Eby Mildred Loree
Congratulations to Don and Ruth Ritchie
on the addition of a baby girl to their fami-
ly and Doug and Michelle Dorscht on the
addition of a baby boy.
Jenny and Matthew Loree of Listowel
spent the long weekend with their grand-
parents, Austin and Mildred Loree.
Mrs. Walter Brickles and her daughter
Laura Dahmer and Marjorie Lanting went
to St. Catharines on Monday to see Mr. and
Mrs. David Bakker and their new baby.
Marjorie stayed to help her sister Connie
for awhile.
Mr. -and Mrs. Bert Nicholson visited on
Saturday evening with Mr. and Mrs. Jack
Barr. Jack took his trailer to Ailsa Craig
on Sunday to be closer to his work with On-
tario Hydro.
Debbie. Hedley was honoured on Satur-
day evening with a relative bridal shower
at the home.of Mr. -and- °s: -Floss Ian in
Lucknow.

On Monday evening a Community bridal
shower 'for Debbie was held at the
Kinlough Anglican Church basement. Pink,
and white bells and streamers made a col-
ourful setting for the occasion. Mrs. Ar-
thur Breckles. was chairperson and co -
hostess Michele Hodgins, heartily welcom-
ed everyone who had come to shower Deb-
bie'with .good wishes and gifts prior to her
wedding and also welcomed some new
neighbours which all were .glad to meet.
The program began with a contest by
,Joan Barr and a ',contest by Vanessa
Breckles.
Barbara Breckles had us trying to
remember articles on a tray and also con-
ducted a contest. She then welcomed the
bride and her sister, Karen Hedley who
read the verses, Beverley Visser who
helped unwrap the gifts, Tracey Visser
made a bow apron and Becky Visser plac-
ed the gifts.
The groom's sister Tracey wrote the gift
on the cards and Angela Breckles
presented the gifts. Debbie modelled her
_bo ajrontiwhile ictures were taken and
thanked`. everyone a `the lovely - -
gifts and invited everyone to the home of
her parents Mr. and Mrs.. Delbert Hedley
to see her trousseau and also to drop in
when she and Michael move to Ripley for a
• chit-chat and cup of tea. A delicious lunch
and time of visiting closed the evening.
On Saturday last Margie Lougheed ' and
Nuia Keeping, took the children of the
Anglican Parish to Owen Sound where
'they attended the Annual Children's
Festival. Bishop C.R. Townshend led the
procession of around 20D children who all
enjoyed the qday together. Margie gave a
mice report the xlaynted.the
Kinloutgh Churchiwitlithebanner. Wewere
very proud of our children.
Members of the Holyrood Women's In-
stitute attended the Bruce South District
meeting at the Lucknow United Church on
Tuesday.
Henry Clark, president of Lucknow Legion made the youth dart presentations at their ban-
