Second annual wheelchair clinic society holds
The Ontario March of Dimes, Doncaster
Medical of London and the Vingham .and
Area Day Centre for the Homebound
(Seniors Day Centre) are .sponsoring a
free Wheelchair Clinic onFriday, June 2 at
the Wingliani- Artriouries. Maier r-eWn.s
and maintenance will be free to in-
dividuals Free labour will be provided by
Doncaster Medical. The Wingham Lions
Club has donated money to recover the
costof repairs to the individuals. The
Royal Canadian Legion Ladies Amilliary
are donating the lunchforthe workers and
vohmteers. The ,Wingham Boy. Scouts will
be oh hand to give a shine to the
wheelchairswhenthe repairs are -finished
All these donations ef both money and
energy are greatly appreciated. It is this
kind of community support that -makes
clinics like this possible.
The purpose of the clinic is to prevent the .
prematifre Whielebnifiby
providing the opportunity for regular
maintenance. Wheelchairs -need regular
maintenance check-ups similar to..a bicy-
cle or car, to keep .them in good working
order. Displays of specialized equipment
will be available for .anyone who is in-
