Luchnow folks are on the move
More changes and new inhabitants of
Luc1 now include: Mr. and Mrs. Doug
Raynard have moved into the former Bill
Ross house on the corner of Ross and
Willougby Streets.
Mr. and Mrs. Albert Whiting have mov-
ed into the house they purchased on Gough
St.
Mrs. Alta Pearson of Wingham has mov-
ed into 474 Gough St.
Miss Marjorie Purves, has moved into
an apartment at the Cresthaven
Apartments.
Mr. Lorne McGibbon, of Bell's Discount
has moved into the partment which was
occupied by Ethel Rutherford at 563 Camp-
bell St.
Danny Londry is moving into 432
Willoughby St., the former Wm. Beirnes
house.
Bryan and Vana Gammie are moving in-
to the house they purchased from Albert
Porter at 543 Gough St.
Rod McDonagh is building a new house
on Elgin St.
We welcome all these newcomers to
Lucknow and hope they enjoy living here.

Two weddings on the weekend included
Terry Jamieson and Carol Bean married
in Lucknow United Church Friday evening
and Murray Scott and Jackie Van Osch in
Kingsbridge Catholic Church on Saturday.
Best wishes to both these young couples.
• Rev. Allison and Priscilla Ramsay
visited their daughter and her husband,
Sheila and Bob Partridge in Newmarket
last Monday.
" Sympathy is extended to Oliver and
Lenore Glenn as Lenore's aunt, Mrs. Grif-
fith passed away last weekend and
Oliver's father, Frank Glenn was buried
on Wednesday.
Austin, and Mildred Loree joined other
members of his family at a very enjoyable
dinner party at the Stone Crock
Restaurant in St. Jacob's Saturday even-
ing in honour of his brother Lorne's 65th
birthday.
Dungannon United approaching
1334th anniversary
Dungannon Senior Citizens held their
regular Wednesday night card party with
17 tables. High lady was Grace Finnigan,
low lady, Adeline Allin; high white card,
Margaret Errington, low man, George
Cardiff.

Dungannon's 134th Anniversary will be.

Ed and Violet Thompson celebrated their golden wedding anniversary on April 12 and
held a dinner and party for family and friends this past weekend. They were married in
the Zion-Hackett's-Blake's United Church parsonage and farmed hi the Holyrood area
until 1968. They moved to Lucknow in 1982. Vi was custodian at Kinloss Central School
from 1965 to 1981. They have a daughter and grandson, Marjorie and Shawn who reside in

a.m. Guest speaker will be Enid Maize -
Williams. Special music will be provided
by Debbie Culbert and Laura Morgan will
have a children's story "Dolls are Like
People". Lunch will be served following
the service. There will be no service at the
other three churches for this Sunday.
Sympathy is extended to the families of
Frank Glenn who passed away on Monday,
April 24. Funeral service was held at
MacKenzie & McCreath Funeral Home,
Lucknow on Wednesday, April 26.

Canadian Crop Drought
Assistance Program
We are still gettirT a few enquiries about
this program. If you grew grains, oilseeds
or Specialty crops in 1988 you may be eligi-
ble for some drought assistance.
• Farmers in Carrick, Culross, Kinloss,
Huron, Greenock and Brant are eligible
for an interim payment for corn. Final
payments may be paid for other crops and
in other townships but no amount has been
set as of this date. It is important to apply.
