The burins are out of hospitai
It is good to know that 'Spence and
Mildred Irwin are able to be back home
after spending time in the hospital. It has
been an anxious time for them as besides
being sick Themselves, Mildred's sister
Gladys Mills is in critical condition in
Hagersville Hospital, and she received
word her brother, Frank Roberton is in
hospital in London having suffered a
stroke. We hope with the coming of
warmer weather they will all enjoy better
health.
Marianne Gollan and her four children
were able to join other members of her
family on a trip to Grande Prairie, Alberta
where they attended her brother's
wedding.
The Hamilton -London -Synodical
meetings were held in Woodstock
Presbyterian Church last week. Delegates
attending .from this area were Mrs. Glen
Haldenby, Mrs. Rhoda MacKenzie and
Rev. Bill and Peggy Henderson.
Jack and Jane Trevleaven have return-
ed from a very enjoyable trip to Texas ae-
companied by his brother Bill and his wife.
Bob, Marion and Matthew McComb of
Castleton visited her parents, Gordon and
Bernice Johnstone for a couple of days last
week.
Ella Hackett entertained the neighbours
on Rose St. on Friday in honour of Jennie
Porteous' birthday.

Visiting with Rev. Bill and Peggy
Henderson on the weekend were Margaret
Henderson of Toronto, Helen Brisbin,
Guelph and Katherine Smith.
Congratulations to Randy and .Nancy
Guay on the birth of their new son, An-
thony Randall on April llth, a little brother
for candais.
Rhoda rand Judy MacKenzie attended
the funeral service in Kitchener for the
late Douglas Laight, as former owner and
operator of the Hanover Bus Co.
Work commenced on Monday morning
an the new .hone for Steve -and Joan
Channney on Delhi St.
Friday was Grandparents Day at the
school where Jenny and Jeff Loree attend
at Listowel so Grandma Loree had the
privilege of going back to school. In some
ways there have been quite a few changes
since the old one room school house.

Mary Hem of Lnrhnow_.celebr_ated her
90th :birthday with an open house at St.
Mary's Hall, .Lucionew on Saturday. Over
125 people attended this :happy occasion
with relatives corning from as far away as
Detroit, London, 3trathroy, Lucan, St.
Mary's and Glencoe. Mrs. Hogan was the
former Mary Kelly of Lucan, and in 1918
she married William Hogan and moved to
Ashfield Township where they farmed un-
til they retired and moved into Lucknow in
19655.. Mr.Hogan Hoganpassed away in 1972. Mrs.
Hogan enjoys good health and with the
help ,of a hume-maker and others she is
still able leave hi finer dog hone. She also
enjoys the service sof Meals on Wheels Fon a
regular basis, attends church -every Sim -
day and is an active member of the C.V.L.
of St. Mary's, Lueknow. She enjoys
regular visits from neighbours and friends
and we're . sure that these people likewise
enjoy visiting a lady who, 110 doubt, has so

Shoot party o fors
At the shoot party in St. Helen's Hall,
sponsored by the St. Helen's Women's In-
stitute on April 17, there were eight tables
in play.
Winners were high lady, Evelyn
Hackett; second high lady, June Robin-
son; high man, Ted Robinson; second high
man, Ross Errrington; low score, Jim Fin-
nigan; most shoots, Francis Murray and
Bruce Raynard tied, with Francis
winning.
