She was born in .Seaforth, which means she has some knowledge of the area around Brookside. The only career Miss Morton really every thought of having was teaching. She got into the teaching profes- sion because she likes kids and"her parents are also teachers. Miss Morton went to teachers college for six years before she started teaching. Miss Morton prefers to teacn around the grade she's teaching now because she knows where the kids are coming from, they've started to learn a bit of reading and writing and are also starting to have some independer-ce. Her favorite subjects to teach are : environmental studies and the language area. She enjoys both her weekends away from the kids and her days teaching. Miss Morton's favourite sport to watch is hockey. In her spare time she likes to curl, do aerobics and visit with friends. Miss Morton's favorite season is summer so she can go swimming, which is another sport she enjoys. All in all, Miss Morton is like most teachers: She enjoys teaching, but is hap- py that she can have some time to herself so she can do the other activities s e hikes: K1, Mrs. Cameron We are learning about measurement.
