Junior Citizen Nominees
Today's youth, tomorrow's leaders
Lucknow and area can be very proud -
eight of 117 nominations submitted by
members of the Ontario Community
Newspaper Association, to the 'Junior
Citizen program for 1988, came from here.
As you will recall, Brad Park of Dungan-
non was one of the award recipients. The
other seven nominees have now been
presented with their certificates, con-
gratulating them on being nominated for a
Junior Citizen of the Year Award.
As Harry Stemp president of the OCNA
said, "they can all be proud of their ac-
complishments. They've proved they're
willing to go the extra mile, if for no reason
than for their own personal growth and
pride, and it's a lesson that shouldn't be
lost on the rest of us."
These young people are assets to our
community and a good example for others
to follow.
One nominator said,"the world would be
a better place to live for young and old if
there were more of these people in it."
