r THE EDIT
To the editor:
The descendents of Joseph and Susanna
(Beninger) Kloepfer and John and Mary
(Bartholomy) Kloepfer are eager to learn
about the Kloepfer family heritage.
The Kloepfer brothers and perhaps their
siblings moved to Carrick Township,
Bruce County from Waterloo County prior
to 1871. Their families were raised in the
area.
rt would be appreciated if family infor-
mation could be forwarded to either: C.
Victor Kloepfer, Box 20, Site 6, R. 1,
Calgary, Alberta, T2P 2G4, (4)3) 249-8769
or John G. Kloepfer, 271 Hawkview Manor
Circle N.W., Calgary, Alberta, T3G 3E6,
(403) 239-5623.
To the editor:
A Steering Committee has been ap-
pointed to organize a public meeting to
form a Wingham and District Wildlife and
Fish Club.
The aims of the club are to work with ex-
isting organizations to improve habitat for
fish and wildlife, to increase populations of
existing species and where possible rein-
troduce species. The club will also act as a
voice to the proper authorities on matters
of concerns to its members.
Everyone, no matter how little or great
your interest, should plan on attending the

Lethargy has set in
• from page I
that sitting on your duff all winter has been
detrimental to certain areas.
Now a number of remedies came to
mind, and most of them I eliminated as
fast as they hit the grey matter between
my ears.
Walking is purported to be good exer-
cise, but living in the country isn't a really
fun place to walk, especially by yourself.
Even if I liked walking by myself, in the
country, there is the problem with dogs
chasing you, nipping at your heels. Walk-
ing is one thing, but the thought of gallop-
ing up a gravel road, with a german
shepherd on my tail and my size 11's get-
ting in the way is just too much of a worry
for me.
Biking is fun and I used to do some bik-
ing when Number One Son was con-
siderably younger, but I always had a pro-
blem with the bicycle seats - they obvious-
ly were not designed by a woman! By the
time I got home from the ride, there was a
certain part of the body in dire pain! So
biking is out.
Swimming"is definately not a good idea -
I panic in the shower if water gets in my
eyes and it is really too far to drive to an in-
door pool.
An exercise program would help, but it's
no fun doing that by yourself. Mr. Fixit
suggested taping the early morning exer-
o g ...tionaetj g of the W ngham
and District Wildlife and Fish Club at the
Turnberry Central School, May 9,1989 at 8
p.m.

cise program on TV and then doing my
workout in the evening. After viewing the
program I wasn't really sure if he was try-
ing to help me or get rid of me! I got swea-
ty and tired just watching those women!
My hairdresser is trying to convince me
to take up racquet ball with her. I really
don't knowwhat I have done to her that she
would want to put me through such agony,
and as I told her before, when you go over
that magic age, we really should have a
doctor's certificate before embarking
upon such strenuous exercise.
Playing baseball was given a fleeting
thought, until I remembered my previous
experience of suffering after a few fun
games.
Dieting might be good - a sensible diet,
just cut back a little here and a little there.
That might be the easiest and the less
strenuous, but I'm not sure if the lethargic
feeling will leave. As you can see, I have
basically ruled out any and all ways of get-
ting rid of unwanted pounds and inches.
You know, my mother was right all those
years ago, when I complained, "will I ever
put on any weight?" (that comment was
made when I looked like Olive Oil) . Her
reply was, "don't worry my dear, one day
you will be complaining about carrying too
much weight." Are mothers always right?
I have one idea left to get in shape - golf.
I must speak to Mr. Fixit about getting out
the clubs out and renting a cart.
