They were married on April 8, 1939 by Rev. C. Todd, minister of the Lucknow United 'Church. There attendants wre MarySimpson, Gordon's sister and David Swan, Etta's brother. They have a family of three; .a daughter, Lois and two sons, Bob and Doug, two grandaughters and four grandsons. Etta is the 'third generation to celebrate their golden ,wedding :anniversary. They farmed for many years on conces- sion 13, West Wawanosh.and'then moved to their present home on Gough Street in Lucknow in 1978. Visitors were from Toronto, Acton, Elora, Ingersoll, Wingham, Goderich, Dungannon, Whitechurch, Kincardine, Lucknow and vicinity.
