Mr. Morton was a retired carpenter.

January 29, 1M2, a son of the late James
Morton and Lottie Tetlow.
Mr. Morton issurvived by hiswifeDoris
of Luclmow; two sons, Bob and his wife
M,andy of London; Ian and his wife Linda
of Benmiller.
Be is also *survived by two sisters,
Florence Evans and Edna Ham, both of
Manchester, England.
A private family service was held in the
chapel at MacKenzie and McCreath
Funeral Home on Wednesday, April 5.
Rev. D. Atwell of the Lucknow Anglican
Church was in charge of the service.
Cremation followed with spring burial in
Greenhill Cemetery,

Mrs. Georgia Donelda Mitchell .of 550
Queen Street, 'Kincardine, passed away at
University Hospital, London on March 26,
1989 in her 63rd year.
Mrs. Mitchell was a member of the Pine
River 'United Church.
She was born in Kincardine 'Hospital on
August20, 1926, ithe eldest .daughter of the
late-Emil:Ritchie and Annie Jane Dunlop.
On May 31,1947 she -married James Ray-
-monsol-.Mitchell and smoved-to1M-ftruith
concession -of Hum. Township where :they
-farmed. :Due to failing health she lived in
.Kincardinefor7the lastlive years.
She is survived by lour daughters .and
their husbands,_LilliaitandDonaldPollarcl
offluron'TownshirEllaandJackSearson
of 'Portilope; MargaretandAdain Mfflar
of .Inverhuron; "Elaine and Robert
MacKenzie of. Kincardine; also:three sons
and their -wives, Donald and Jo -Am Mit-

Mitchell, Ilium Township; Maurice and

BITURIES
Hector Donald Purdon
A native of Whitechurch, born there on
July 8, 1916, 'Rector Donald Portion of
Strathroy _died in StrathroyMiddleses
General Hospital on Tuesday, March 28,
1989. The son of the late Alexander Purdon
and Christina MacKay, he worked as a
baker during his early life, then was a real
estate broker from 1953 until his retire-
ment in 1982. He served overseas during
World War Two, from 1942 until 1945.
Mr. Purdon was a member of the Royal
Canadian Legion and the Mocha Shriners.
He is survived by his wife, the former
Hazel House, whom be married in Toronto
in 1942, and was the dear father of June
and Bev .Bosveld of London, Cheryl .and
Charles Harnett of Strathroy, Sylvia and
Randy Grey of Niagara Falls and Ray
Purdon, Strathroy. Also surviving are
seven grandchildren; four sisters, Mrs.
Robert (Cassie) Mowbray, Mrs. Jack
(Florence) McIntyre, Mrs. George
(Isobel) Tiffin and Mrs. Jack (Clara)
Cleghorn, all of Lucknow and one brother,
Athol .Purdon of Welland. He was
predeceased by one son,Bruce, in 1972 and
by his brother, William.
Friends paid their respects at The
MeRurney Fnnesral Fiume Nadi' _Fsjday,
whenfuneralservice was conducted.at one
o'clock by Rev. John Neilson. Interment
followed at Wingham Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Angus Falconer, Athol
Purdon, Hugh McMillan, E.; les Harnett,
Bev Bosveld and Randy Grey. Three
grandchildren, Michael and Kristine
.Bosveld and Keri Grey were Bower
bearers.
