This money is raised in various forms; the Kinettes by fashion shows, draws and food booths; the Kinsmen by chicken catching, Summerfest, hockey draws, dances and bars at the community centre, exhibition hockey games and skate-a-thons. This year, the main project will be the installation of new lights and a fence at the Kinsmen Community Ball Park, as it was 15 years ago, when the group first started as a club. The Kinsmen Association, which is an all Canadian Service Club, raises more money per member than any other service club in North America. The Kinettes have supported the Kinsmen in many ways over the years. Since their inception, the faces have changed, but the idea is still the same; "people serving people". This year the Kinsmen Club, with 37 members and Kinettes, with 10 members, will still follow ti e -motto- as -they did 15. y r er€- ing the community's greatest need". r Barbara Helm was presented with The Elspeth Rogers Life Membership Award at the Kinsmen and Kinette banquet on April 8.
