Mr. Cayley wondered many times if his
dream would come true.
One would probably jump to the conclu-
sion that the cost of obtaining 100 uniforms
might be the crux of :the problem. No so !

more hurdle to jump - find someone to
make 84 of the 100 uniforms before May 12.
As sometimes happens, we are able to
find experts right in our ;own community -
and find an expert he did - in the person Of
Barb Gingrich.
Mrs. Gingrich agreed to take on the
mammoth task and with the assistance of
two friends, Kini Meyer and Bir Mid-
delkamp, who are highly qualified
seamstresses, the project began the se-
cond week of February.
It may have been a long time coming,.
but the culmination of eight long months Of ,
searching, measuring, cutting, sewing and
fitting will come to a magnificient end with
the premier of the new uniforms at the
band concert on Friday, May 12. Make
sure you reserve that date on your
calendar.
Construction was undertaken in the
building of two tennis courts and with the
help of the Kinettes and Leo Club it
culminated in the:grand opening on July 1.
