Kathleen Gibson gave the treasurer's report. The water system has $3,308.21 in assets. Angus Falconer reported for the maintenance and said some pipe work had to be done in the warmer weather. The chlorine level was reduced, the silicate level raised, otherwise everything is runn- ing well. Adrain Keet gave the res t ; ! t of the water samples and they are o.k. The annual fee is $80.00 per year with an increase to the maintenance man, secretary and treasurer, as ell ar in- crease in the mileage rate for tray( Jag for any repairs. Mrs. Russel McGuire and Mrs. Don Ross attended the District Directors meeting of the Bruce South District of the Women's Institute held in the Lions hall in Tiverton on Tuesday. Mrs. Agnes Farrier returned home Tuesday after a holiday in Florida. Whitechurch Knit Wits Meeting No. 5 of the Whitechurch Knit Wits was held March 20 in the home of Mrs. Elliott. The whole meeting was the process of dying wool and cotton. The dye used was grape Kool-aid and onion skins. March 21 was the next meeting at the home of Mrs. Ross'. Mrs. Ross talked about the wool mark. Karen Elliott talked about the structure of wool. Mrs. Elliott talked on how to care for your wool garment. April 10 is the next meeting which will be a meeting in preparation for achievement day. The Lucknow Bantam Bs lostto Listowel on Saturday with a score of 5 - 4. Derek Turner opened the scoring for Lucknow assisted by Rob Crich and Gavin Hunter. Warren Andrew and Vince Sticklend combined for the second making it a 2 - 2 game. Listowel netted two more goals and at the 18 second mark of ,the second period, Dennis Johnston made it a 3 - 4 game. Warren Andrew and Rob Crich put the tie away but there wasn't a tie breaker as Listowel advanced with one more goal. Lucknow will enter the Tournament of Champions.to be held in Listowel on Satur- day. Their first game is at 9:15 against Port Elgin. SUNDAY, APRIL 9, 1989 Rev.
