(Admittance restricted to persons 19 years of age or older) PROCEEDS will be used for improvement to the baseball diamond For further information, call 524-4517 Murray Elston, MPP for Bruce, Chair- man of Management Board, and Minister of Financial Institutions, today announced on behalf of Housing Minister Chaviva Hosek, that the Bruce County Non -Profit Housing Corporation has been given the green light to develop plans for 70 non- profit housing units in Bruce County under the provincial Homes Now housing program. The program has so far paved the way for more than 160 community-based hous- ing sponsors to plan more than 17,600 non- profit housing units in 77 municipalities across -Ontario. "I am pleased that the Homes Now in- itiative is gaining momentum in our area," said Mr. Elston. "Non-profit and lower-cost homes are as essenial in rural areas as they are elsewhere." "We are working closely with communi- ty groups and organizations to ,help them address the "housing needs in their com- munities," said Chaviva Hosek, Minister of Housing, "and I am convinced that the lower-cost homes will be created faster than many believe possible." Under the Homes Now program, municipal and private .non-profit . corpora- tions, as well as non-profit co-operatives, can build, buy or -lease buildings for non- profit housing. The Easter worship service from the Glad Tidings magazine was followed by the group. Rollcall was answered by a sentence prayer. Edith Simpson gave a summary of the Glad Tidings magazine.
