The women of Burma were responsible for this year's service on the theme "Lord, Teach Us to Pray". In the Lucknow area women joined together at South Kinloss Presbyterian Church to par- ticipate in the service under the leadership of Wilma Clarke. Jean Atwell of St. Peter's Anglican Church was the Guest Speaker and Shirley Colwell of South Kinloss was soloist. Ladies from churches par- ticipating included St. Peter's Anglican, St. Mary's Roman Catholic, Christina Reformed, Lucknow Presbyterian, Lucknow United and South Kinloss Presbyterian. Vernon and Anna Mae Hunter and Ken and Elleda Laidlaw enjoyed two weeks in the sunshine at Palm Springs, California. While there they had lunch wtih Kay Col- lyer and Margaret Thompson who were visiting their sister. Barry and Betty McDonagh returned home Sunday from a two month vacation in Key West, Florida. John and Nancy Hamilton, Tyler and Julie spent two weeks holidaying in Florida. Bud Hamilton and Lloyd Humphrey left 1asfweek -Flori&-t getaway romthe- cold temperatures around here. Ethel Rutherford was able to leave Wingham Hospital last week and has taken up residence at Dryden Manor, Gough Street. Congratulations to Robert Reid of Pinecrest Manor who celebrated his 91st birthday on March 4. Mr. and Mrs. Bill Burt of Kincardine had lunch last Thursday with Lulu Stanley. Also calling on Lulu were Dan and Bev Tollefson of Mississauga. Sympathy is extended to Gordon and Bernice Johnstone on the. death of his aunt, Marie Morrison formerly of Teeswater. Home for the funeral service on Friday were John and Janet of Ajax, Bruce of Chatham, Bob and Marion McComb of Castelton, and Myrtle Johnstone of Goderich.. Jim and Marj Uieldrum of . Detroit visited last week with her aunt, Jessie Johnston. Pam Loree of Toronto visited this past weekend with Austin and Mildred Loree and delivered the picture of their fall wed- ding. Since this is the busy season for ac- countants, Stan was working and unable to accompany her.
