Andrea Hiller As you can see the results were ex- cellent. We enjoyed sharing our books with each other. The Grade four students have also been working hard practising dialogues in their French classes. They enjoy trying their new language out on the teachers around the school. Sometimes the teachers are even stumped! Grade Four The grade four class is still heavily it volved in their Fairy Tale unit. Some of the children are busy writing their 1,, while others are practicing play .. ting ready to present them. The chit grade four have been workir., children from the Kindergarten Each pair of students is writing an Easter tale and printing it on the computer. They can hardly wait to get their finished products ! Grade Five This week has been interesting. We had a presentation about the Young Offenders Act. Several questions were subsequently raised and discussed. We believe that therapy is a vital component in rehabilita- tion. However, in some cases, depending on the crime, we felt that a jail term would be necessary in addition to therapy. We followed this with a discussion about police. We decided that police have a very difficult and dangerous job. However, we felt that because policemen go into this line of work they should be well prepared for the dangers and should be treated the same as regular citizens when they are the victims of crime. The discussion continues Grade Six This week we had a substitute teacher as Mr. Burkhart had to go to a Science Meeting. Next week we are going, as a class to the Outdoor Education Centre for three days. This will be fun we hope! Grade Eight We are naming to the end of our geometry unit in math, much to the relief of a few of our students. During this time, we encountered a number of interesting, but sometimes frustrating concepts, in- cluding many confusing constructions. We have also just finished the Confederation Story and learned how Canada became the great country it is. An interesting newspaper, unit is: about to begin. In this we will learn about how Canada has become a multicultural nation. 1) i►_ LUCKNOW G°P[2EZ o 7 PRLA k C NUJ ?, H Sunday, Ma Ji 120 1989 9 a:00 A.M. Worship Service 11:00 A.M.
