For further information 529-7934.-9, lOar LOPS grade five hear about Young Offenders Act by Jennifer Porter and Tammy Neable Kindergarten March came in like a lion so we sure hope it will go out like a lamb. We made lions and lambs to decorate our classroom. This will remind us that spring is on the way. This week, we have been working with our Grade four computer buddies. We are writing Easter stories together and will type out on the computer. This has been a great learning experience for both. March is Julie Bennett's birthday month. Grade One Grade one made a poem about March. We th®uriht of lion and lamb words, then we made lion/lamb mobiles to hang in our class. Mr. McKeon took us out on the hills for a fun gym period. After we finished An- drew's "Special Me" book, we practiced our spring play, and made our props. We would like to say goodbye to Kristy, and wish her well in her new school. Grade Two There is lots of green in our room this week. We are doing some St. Patrick's Day activities so we'll be prepared when it ar- rives during March Break. We made potato prints and potato head people. Here is a poem we made up as a class: Green is ... grasshoppers olives green peppers shade leaves sea trees cucumbers grass The dream of flowers. Grade Two/Three Grade two/three is delighted to announc- ed Alicia de Boer was a prize winner in the poetry contest held by the Rural Voice Magazine. Her poem was on Farming. Farming is ... • chores hard work shoveling eggs That is farming. Grades Three and Four The Grade three students wrote calen- dar poems this week and then organized them into Calendar Books. The following verses have been chosen from the poems of several students: In January it's so nice To go sliding on the ice. In February it will be My mom and dad's anniversary.
