Friday night the visiting Milverton squad ouskated the Lancers on route to a 9 - 4 win. The Lancers were playing catch up hockey all through the game as Milverton led 3 - 0 after one period and 5 -3 after two. Art Clark, Dan Londry, Steve Simpson and Allan Eadie netted the Lancers' goals. Sunday afternoon the Lancers travelled to Milverton and came up on the short end of 9 - 4 score. The Lancers trailed 3 - 2 after 20 minutes of play as Dave Gibson and Wayne Phillips scored . for the Lancers. Steve MacPherson and Steve Simpson ad- ded one goal each in the second period as the score was tied 4 - 4 at the midway mark. That was as close as the Lancers got though as Milverton scored five unanswered goals to take a 2 - 0 lead in the best of five series. The thrii Wednesday Milverton o Lucknow if / games goes in Lucknow at 8:30 p.m. with 'games in Friday and Sunday night in ecessary. Lucknow Pee Wees are playing Coldwater in the OMHA quarter finals. Sunday, the local lads hosted Coldwater and sent them back home with their second loss, 4 -1. In Coldwater on Saturday, Lucknow squeaked out a 4-3 victory. (Pat Livingston photo) PeeWees take two off Co]Ldwater Saturday saw the Lucknow PeeWees travel to Coldwater for the first game of the OMHA quarterfinals. The game was fast and hard and the team came home with a 4-3 win. Clint Murray tallied a hat trick with two unassisted goals and the third assisted by Matt Drennan and Chad Hiller. With only 59 seconds left in the e, Darryl Gibson put the winning goal past the Coldwater goalie, assisted by Tom Chilton and Collin Humphrey. On Sunday, Coldwater .came to town, with the Lucknow team ready to buckle down and play hard. The outcome being another win of 4-1. Clint Murray scored the only goal of the first period on a pass from Matt Drennan and Steve Porter. Lucknow came out flying ifrtie second period with three more goals. Point getters were Matt Drennan, one goal and an assist; Clint Murray with his second goal of the game and two assists; Chad Hiller with a goal and Scott Rintoul, Collin Hum- phrey and Steve Adams with assists. Coldwater scored one goal in the third period: The Lucknow team was backed up by ex- cellent goal tending in both games by goalies Joel Sutton and Keith Todd. The Pee Wees travel back to Coldwater this Saturday for the third game of the series and if necessary back in Lucknow Sunday at 3 "p.m. for the fourth game. Keep up the excellent playing boys ! In Atom OMHA quarter finals, Lucknow hosted Lucan on Sunday, needing a win to force the series into another game. The local team unfortunately came out on the losing.
