Several of the fair committees were
reorganized.
A report was heard from the building
committee forthe proposed cattle shelter
to be built on the fair grounds. Don Alton
gave rough estimates of size and cost from
various sources. Because the shelter is to
be built on a flood plain, approval was
sought and obtained from the Maitland
Valley Conservation Authority. As the
Agricultural Society does not have suffi-
cient funds to cover the entire cost of the
shelter, it -was decided to seek further
financing by way of donations. If response
is favourable construction will start in
time to have the shelter finished by fair
time.
Next meeting is Tuesday, March 26th.
