elected to the Bruce County 4-11 Leaders'
Association: Donna Bridge, Ripley; Bill
Goetz, Mildmay; Cora Lee Dobson, Tiver-
ton; Liz Ritchie, Port Elgin; Betty Fieten,
Teeswater; Joan McDougall, Tiverton;
and Audrey Ribey, Paisley; were elected
for a two-year term. Elsie Schuler, Kincar-
dine, was elected to fill a vacancy for a
one-year term.
These people are completing their last

a short meeting after the annual meeting -

Chairperson, Mervin Valad, Chepstow;
Vice Chairperson, Audrey - Ribey; and
Secretary, Elsie Schuler.
Directors of the 4-H Leaders' Associa-
tion work very hard to keep the 4H pro-
gram in Bruce County running smoothly.

The Grey Bruce Soil and Crop Improve-
ment Association will be sponsoring a
Grain r Seminar to be held on March
ARM REPQRT
Bruce County OMAF
9, 9 a.m. at the Knights of Columbus,
Walkerton. Registration fee of $15.00 in-
cludes a hot meal at lunch time.
The theme of the day's' presentation is
"Energy Efficient Grain Drying", and will
feature a nuniber oispeakers on "topic
such as - grain drying energy recovery, the
effect of fines on air movement, reinforc-
ing storage structures for grains, systems
for natural air drying and how they work,
and considerations in designing a dryer
system. The speakers will include a local
farmer who will discuss his 'experiences
• with natural air drying.
This day should be of interest to
everyone concerned with on farm drying
of grain, whether currently owning a
dryer, or contemplating installing one,
natural air or heated air.
Since the number who can be accom-
modated at this seminar will be limited,
advanced registration is required. Anyone
interested should contact the OMAF office
at either Walkerton or Markdale.
Joseph Guest celebrates nth
The . Holyrood Women's Institute had
seven tables playing at their euchre party
on Tuesday in the Institute room at the
hall.
Those winning prizes were ladies Reta
Irwin, Carolyn Cunningham and Donalda
Pollard, and the men were Eric "Haldenby
and Bill MacPherson. Everyone had an en-
joyable evening.
Mrs. Weir Eckenswiller and Mrs.
William MacPherson attended the
workshop on preparingmeals for two.
Mr. and Mrs. Reg Powell, Pastor and
Mrs. Marvin Christensen were dinner
guests on :Tuesday evening with Mr. and
Mrs. Leonard Stanley and Terry.
Fred 'Page returned home on Friday
from the Wingham and District Hospital
,where he had been for 10 days following a
;heart:attack. We send our get well wishes.

Guest; a resident at Bruce Lea Haven who
on Monday Feb. 27 celebrated his 99th bir-
thday. Dinner guests with him were Mr.
and Mrs. Tom (Nina) McDonald of here,
Mrs. Essie Bloomfield and Mrs. Marie
Wolfe of Paisley, Mrs. Bertha Struthers
and Mrs. Isabel Thompson of Teeswater.
The Presbyterian Church here is the
place of worship for the World Day of
Prayer on Friday prepared by the Women
of Burma. Everyone is welcome to attend.

African churches
The Lucknow Presbyterian Evening
Auxiliary met in the Church Room on
February 21 with '13 ladies present.
Mrs. Leonard MacDonald chaired the
meeting and opened with a reading.
The Scripture, Meditation and prayer
were given by Mrs. Frank Hawthorne.
Mrs. Leonard MacDonald read a valen-
tine poem.
The Minutes of the last meeting were
read and approved as read. Business and
Correspondence were dealth with.
The roll call w.as an,swered.and the offer-
ing received.
The VMS. -Purpose was repeated after
which Mrs. Aurtin°Loreepresented the nd
Chapter of the Mission Study on South
Africa - What does it mean to,, be the
Chureh in `Soutb Africa.
Mrs. Ralph ameronn was in 'charge of
the variety number and read three in7
teresting poems.
