Bern in Ashfield Township on December 5, 1912, he was a son of the late Robert Webster and Violet Buchanon. Mr. Webster is survived by two sisters, Peg MacDonald ,of Walkerton , and Jean Mortensen of Grand Bend; four brothers, George and Jim of Kincardine, Elliot of Forest and Fred of London. He was predeceased by his parents, a sister Mary and brother Mac. Complete funeral service was conducted from MacKenzie and McCreatlifuneral Home, Lucknow on Wednesday, February 15, With Rev. W. Henderson .officiating. Spring interment Greenhill Cemetery, Lucknow. Anne Rutherford Magoffin Anne Magoffin of London, died in St. Joseph's Hospital, London, on -February 17, 1989, in her 88th year. Mrs. Magoffin was born in East Wawanosh Township on December 4, 1901. She was a daughter of the late Isabella Gaunt and John Jamieson. On March 2, 1920, in Wingham, the former Anne Jamieson married Thomas Magoffinof-Lucknow. Mrs. Magoffin is survived by her children Lorene Irwin, Scarborough; Ferne Melvin, Victoria B.C.; Lansley Magoffin, London and Yvonne Gray, Lon- don; one sister Mrs. Viola Irwin; 15 grand- children, 24 great grandchildren and one great, great grandson. She was predeceased by her husband Thomas in 1977; two sons, James Ivan, World War II 1944 and Ernest Albert in 1985; one brother Thomas Jamieson and a sister Vivienne. The funeral service was conducted by Rev. A.J. Cook from the MacKenzie and McCreath Funeral Home, Lucknow on February 21. Rev. Dave Stephen, a 'nephew of Mrs. Magoffin, gaveahe eulogy. Kim Roe was soloist and Donalda Moffat organist. . Pallbearers were Ronald Jamieson, Earl Jamieson, Orland Irwin, Danny Dick, John .Wiebe and Brian Hatfield. Spring interment Greenhill ,Cemetery, Lucknow. DOUGLAS J. YOUNG Mr. Douglas J. Young, of Ashfield died .at Alexandra Marine ,and General Hospital on Friday, Feb. 17, 1989 in his 59th year. He was born to the late James and Olive (Jackson) Young in Goderich on May 7, 1929. He was a farmer in Ashfield Twp. and a member of Knox Presbyterian Church: Mr. Young was involved in organizing senior Citizen's dances in Dungannon; McKay Cen- tre, Goderich; and Clinton. He was a member of the No Notes Jug Bandandwas a very dedica old time fiddle player. Be wrotehishis entitled Doug's Breakdown. - Mr. Young is survived by his wife, Helena (Gwyn) Young; two daughters, Lorna and Monica; and a ,son, James, all living at home. Also surviving is "a sister, Mona (Mrs. Gordon Martin), Port Albert. The funeral service washeldat McCallum and Palle Funeral Home on Monday, Feb. 20. Rev. D. R. Nicholson officiated. Flower bearers were Lorna Young, Monica Young, s Crawford, Elton Draper, Charles J son and Tracey Pollock. Active •pallbearers were Bill Hayden, James Hayden, Fred Crawford, Jim Graham, Gordon Dougherty and Bob Rising. Interment was at Colborne Cemeterv. Ira and Elizabeth Dickie are home after spending some of the winter in Florida. Fred and Margaret De Boer enjoyed the weekend visiting with her sister Marilynne and Dale Gilchrist in Kitchener. While there they visited with Bruce and Carol Maclntyre and twins. The "Thinking Day Service" was held at Lucknow Presbyterian Church on Sunday. The Brownies, Guides, Pathfinders, Rangers, Cubs, Beavers and Scouts were taking part in the service.
