The Valentine'rree
During the month of February, many
Brookside students are talking about
children who live in Third World countries
such as Peru. We're finding that we're
very lucky in Canada! Part of the caring of
Valentine's Day is sharing with these
children through donations to the Valen-
tine Tree, sponsored by the Save the
Children Fund. Our donations will help buy
school books, medicine, and clothes for
children all over the world.
Winter Walks
Many Brookside students have enjoyed
winter walks at the Wawanosh Valley
Nature Centre this year. With the help of
Jayne Thompson and Esther IThick who
work at the centre, students are .becoming
expert woodland detectives. Through a
variety of activities, they learn to see how
