We made our Valentine folders for our valentines to be kept in. KIR Mrs. Young's Kindergarten class would like to welcome Jeffrey Poll to our class. He is here in time to make valentines with us. We made thumbprints with paint and circled sets of seven! Grade 1, Room 1 Our teacher Mrs. Brydges is reading us a book called the Wizard of Oz. We are painting ground hog pictures and Oz pic- tures. We are also learning to add and subtract. Grade 'Room 5 We are learning how to add and sub- tract. We have done up to 5. And we would like to thank Mrs. Stem for . supply teaching. Grade 2, Room 3 We are reading story box books. "I like" and "I love" books are being made. We made big stuffed hearts. We are doing a unit on Valentine's Day. We are doing ad- dition and subtraction facts for the number 14. Grade 2-3, Room 4 . The Wonder Tree is in the midst 'of Valen- tine Centres, with language, math, and thinking activities. In language arts we are getting ready to say speeches. We also bad a music test this week. With our reading buddies we made heart booklets. On Feb. 8, 1989, we started a skipping group. We skip for month for the heart foundation. Grade 7, Room 10 This week our class is researching In- dians and Inuit. We have to have each of our made up questions answered in two or three para: aphs. We could have a few il- lustrations and it has to be orally presented. On Valentine's Day, we are having a heart shaped pizza from Pim Delight and a Valentine's cake. ft will be very good. Grade 7189 Room S In math we are doing geometry. We all think that it is fun. In Quest we are talking about the four physical growth periods. In French the grade 7's are talking about food. Grade 8, Room 11 We had hot-dog day on Tuesday. In gyps we are starting basketball. Prom our room Trici,. Brown is participating in the ping- pong tournament on Feb. 28. In math we started geometry. •
