'nits week -we talked about our telephone
numbers and addresses. Our favourite
season Mid favoutite TV showivereput on
bar graphs. We are looking forward to our
next snowfall, so that we can fix our
snowforts atschool.

Mrs. 'Young's kindergarten class have
been very busy learning about families.
They havebrought in photos of themselves
withtheiriamilies, and they are painting
pictures &their families too. Leah Bauer
and Liana Baran= have the biggest
families.
Grade 1
Miss Mather's class is bearing up with
their bearestivities. 'They've been singing
bear songs, =dreading bear shnies from

'They have also madepaper plate pandas
and painting "A !Bear -y Nice Picture".

ing final copies of our adventures this
week. After vi week of plamihig, discuss-
ing, writing and editing, we'roproud dour

Tlits week we finish up our snow
folders . We learned about David MeLlwain
a 'Oars in the NHL. Ills mother sent us
Dave s stick, hockey sweater, some pic-

to Dave and sent them to Pittsburgh. We
welcome back .Samara, who had a bad
case of the flu. We Aid a survey and found
out our classmamts tolearn aboutantmals,
farms and Easter.

Mr. Spittel's class has been drawing
some neat designs using geometric
figures. We are just finishing np,our two
novels, MT -eller -and Karate Kid. Friday
is "Onion day", everyone has to rat onions
math their-lim. This flhe us
healthy. Next -Friday is "Wear your slad's
ugliest tie day". So tiad, look out!

Room 12 has enjoyed _having the com-
puter in our room for the past few weeks.
We have been busy trying out for the
Volleyball teams. We hope everyone is
successful!

On January 25 we went -curling. it was
fun! :Someday well be able to join curling
teams with our new skills!

We have had two .tests this week. In
math -we are•starting exponents and fac-
tors.`This week in spelling we are learning
winter words. We have also started a
Novel Study unit. The grade 8's are
reading the novels and the grade l's are
working in "readers".

We are working on our speeches. In
history we are working on the Rebellions
of Upperand Lower Canada. In science we
are starting to studyairpressure. We went
to 'Tasman on January 27th. We are also
switching from shop and 'Family Studies
today.
