eheneranother and her daughter oil"vaca-
tion ink 'fcardineafter°the two were hyp-
notized by 'Const. Frank Maltby of the
Mount Forest OPP detachment.
The -sketches were made for a meeting
Dec. 19 between 'police forces. A total of
three witnesses were hypnotized including
one person who reported seeing a woman in
a peach nightgown in Kinloss township at 8
a.m. on July 4.
The sighting was given "credibility" that
a woman closely resembling Lois Hanna
was seen walking through a field after the
witness was hypnotized, but that it was not
necessarily Lois Hanna, Chief Mann said.
The concession where the woman was
seen was searched extensively after the
disappearance but nothing was found, Chief
Mann said.
Delay in reporting sighting
Chief Mann said there was a delay bet-
ween the
et-weenthe time the two Kitchener women saw
the men and the time when they reported
their sightings to lice because they were
out of the country. It wasn't until "some
time late:" when the two contacted police.
Asked why the sketches weren't released
to the media until Friday, Chief Mann said
that orginially the OPP were to release the
sketches but investigating officers could not
be available to make the release. It was then
turned over to the Kincardine police force
which couldn't make -the release because in-
vestigating officers were not available.
Chief Mann took the initiative to release the
--sketches=himself -- - . - _-- -
One man is described as being in his late
20s with a tan and light complexion and has
average _height, weight and build. Chief
' Mann estimated that a man of average
height would make him about five feet, eight
inches.
He cautioned that anyone looking for a
man with a tan and light complexion should
keep in mind that the man was seen in the
summer and that now the tan has likely
faded.
The other man was described as being
about 20 years old with a tan and light com-
plexion and has average height and weight
with a slim build. The man has shoulder-
lengthhair and.was wearing a baseball sap
at the lime. The witnesses were nnthle to
desmbe : the color of Chair and eyes in : both
eases.
When asked if the sketches were; the last
straw in the Hanna case, Chief Mann said
"nothing is ever the last straw."
He did say thatthe hypnotized witneaeees
were `the "last in a long line of *Means"
unless the sketches proaide additional infor.
mation. Over 100 people have been inter-
viewed in the case and police have rehashed
the events and interviews surrowi ding
Hanna's disappearance.
"We've got ourselves one heck of a
mystery !were," Chief Mann said.
The Hanna family have been shown the
sketches but could not identify the men.
IMPORTANT NOTICE
Chief Mann said the sketches have be sent
to other police forces in the same zone and
will eventually be distributed across the
province. Currently, there is an alert at
the Canada - United States border keeping
watch for any unidentified bodies which can
be identified by dental records.
As part of ongoing investigations, Chief
Mann said two sightings in the London area
reporting Hanna "look-alikes" proved to be
false. The sightings were actually made in
the town of Aylmer but were not Lois Han-
na. People saw a woman similar in ap-
pearance to Lois Hanna working in a local
grocery store.
When releasing sketches of people, he said
there is always a fear of scaring the people
involved but "hopefully someone knows
these guys." Police do not know where to
locate the two men.

Received 18 calls since Friday at noon
Investigating officer Sgt. Doug Proctor
=said Monday they have received .18 calls__
from people saying they know someone who
resembles the two men in the sketches.
He said "quite a few" of the calls were
from the Sarnia and London area while
some came fromthe Owen Sound area and
some from the Kincardine area.
All rails are being followed up by respec-
tive police forces who will then report back
