Thank you for a good afternoon.
Merry Christman everyone!
Grade two
We really enjoyed the month of
December. The trip to the Bruce County
Museum gave us an insight into a Pioneer
Christmas.
We wish everyone a Merry Christmas
and a safe holiday...
Grade Two/Three
We have had a wonderful Christmas
week at school. On Wednesday we took
part in the Pioneer Christmas activities at
the Southampton Museum. We had lots of
fun but didn't think we wished to be
pioneers.
On Thursday afternoon we went to sing
carols at the Nursing Home. We hope we
helped to brighten their day.
On Friday we had our Christmas dinner
with the bus drivers, volunteers, students
and teachers eating together in the gym.
We wish everyone a happy, safe holiday.
Merry Christmas to all.
Grade Three/Hour
Christmas holidays! They finally arriv-
ed) ! After a tremendous term of reading
and writing and researching and recessing
we are ready for a little break. When we
made a Ilst of all the things that our class
has done since the beginning of September
we could not believe it. Sean Lougheed
kept track of all of our activities.
Grade Four
Hooray, the holidays are here and we
are looking forward to an exciting, safe
break. Our Christmas party was lots of
fun. We played. some games and. used the
parachute. Grade 4has been working with
their multiplication facts. We plan to be
whizzes by the new year.. .
We hope everyone has a Merry
Christmas and a Happy. New Year.
Grade Five
This week. has seen the Grade 5 class
scrambling to finish our assignments in
reading, environmental studies, and math.
We are all looking forward to our holidays.
Last Thursday was our last ice hockey
session this year. We are pleased to have
taken part and really enjoyed the exercise.
Special thanks are in order for Mr.
Burkhart who worked "the gate" and
"coached" one of the teams.
We are looking forward to the new year
and testing our unit on batteries and bulbs.
Merry Christmas from portable number
2.
GradeSix
In art the Grade 6's have finished a
wash. A wash is similar to a painting .ex-
cept you don't paint the picture you paint
over a picture that is made up of coal and
wax.
In family studies some of the Grade fi's
made cookies and some made aprons. The
cookies were decorated with sparkles and
chocolate bits.
In design.and technology half of the class
were cleaning the room. getting ready for
the new year!
Grade Seven
Grade Seven have been working on a
variety of Christmas activities and we also
completed our group research projects on
Canada's Native People. We appreciate
the typing of our projects which was clone
by Mrs. Ritchie and Mrs. Gollan.
Congratulations to Ryan Greig, Alesha
Moffat and Jolene Weber for winning
prizes in the Legion Remembrance Day
contest.
